A thoughtfully designed two-storey family home in Joslin, created in collaboration with Girardi Designs and built following the demolition of the original dwelling. The clients came to us with a clear vision: to create a modern, functional home with a mid-century interior aesthetic that would serve their family for years to come. The design brief centred around warmth, character, and family-friendly living, with spaces that encourage connection while also offering privacy. The home’s layout was thoughtfully planned to maximise natural light, with generous open-plan living areas and carefully considered zoning across both floors. Inside, the mid-century inspiration is reflected in the clean lines, natural materials, and custom joinery that bring warmth and a timeless elegance to the interior palette. The integration of period-inspired fixtures and finishes lends an authentic character while maintaining contemporary function. We partnered with Landscape Techniques to deliver a cohesive and considered exterior environment, complementing the architectural form and enhancing the home’s street presence and outdoor living spaces. The result is a home that feels both classic and contemporary – a fresh new build with a nostalgic soul, tailored to modern family life.
